Hiring Arrangements.

Hirings can be made on a regular basis or for single occasions. Rates vary depending on the room(s) used, the length and purpose of the hiring, and the day of the week. Discounted rates are available for regular bookings and for charities and community groups. Our Hall Hirers' Page shows some of the groups who hire the hall or other rooms regularly.

Please call the parish office on (020) 8679 6888 for details of rates and availability. The office is usually open on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and sometimes on other occasions, although days and times may vary during school holidays. When the office is closed there is an answering machine on which you can leave a message. The answering machine is checked regularly.

All hirers are required to abide by our Conditions of Hire and by the parish Child Protection Policy. Copies of these and other information for hall users can be obtained from the parish office on (020) 8679 6888 and will be issued to hirers when a hiring agreement is made. All hirers are required to sign that they have seen the parish Child Protection Policy and will abide by it insofar as it applies to their activities. The Conditions of Hire and Child Protection Policy can be viewed or downloaded from this website.

A deposit of 25% of the hire fee will secure a booking, but the full amount plus a deposit must be paid before the hiring takes place. The deposit is normally refundable if no damage is caused and no breaches of hire conditions occur. The Parochial Church Council (PCC) may cancel the hiring, possibly at very short notice, if the hire fee and deposit are not paid in full before the hiring in accordance with the time limits in Condition 4 (28 days before the hiring for the fee, 14 days for the deposit - or at the time of booking if closer to the hiring). The PCC reserves the right to refuse to accept bookings made at short notice.

Please note that refunds of deposits, etc., will only be made by cheque even if originally paid in cash. All money received, including deposits, is banked and cash payments will not be made. Intending hirers should ensure that this is acceptable to them before making a booking.

Getting there and Accessibility

For details of how to reach the hall and accessibility for those with disabilities visit the Getting there & Access page. The hall, church and other rooms are located together on a single site. The premises have a toilet for disabled users which also incorporates baby changing facilities. Most parts of the building are accessible for wheelchair users.

Other information

The PCC welcomes users to the building and encourages its use by members of the community. However, it has a duty to safeguard the interests of other building users, staff, neighbours and the wider community. All hirings are at the discretion of the PCC and/or its officers and the PCC reserves the right to decline any booking, with or without giving reasons. In particular, prospective hirers should note that, in general, bookings for late night parties, receptions and similar events are no longer accepted.

Please note also that:

The hall, kitchen, Common Room and some other parts of the building were refurbished in 2002. For more information visit the Hall Renewal Project page.
